Hey all.! 
Today I am going to talk about my native place.. Its the place where I was born and brought up. Coorg is known as “The Scotland of Karnataka” Do you know why ? 

You all may have seen people posting pictures on instagram, fb, twitter and other social media.. You might have wondered why is it a big deal.! Its probably because of the nature and the pleasant environment. The most wonderful season is rainy and winter. Don't even ask people.! Its really boring to stay in Coorg during rainy season.. 24/7 it rains and you can't chill or go out of your home.! But the weather is amazing..  Winter is too freezing and people prefer to stay inside their home with a delicious pork served meal and some hot drinks.

Surprisingly, Its the only community or tradition of people who allows to booze at home with no restrictions. Yeah.! we don't have any restrictions to booze at home.. Likewise we have a different culture when compared to other community of people.. We have festivals like aati 18, huttari, kail murtha, etc. We welcome the new paddy by the festival huttari. Once the paddy yield work is done we celebrate kail murtha as the glory of saying that we have completed sowing paddy and now we got to wait for paddy.. Aati 18 is about a medicinal plant which will be consumed in the form of payasam.. Guess what.!  The colour of the payasam is purple.
 People visit for places like Abbey Falls, Iruppu Falls, Raja's Seat, Tadiandamol Peak, Barapole River, Kumara Parvatha Trek, Dubare Elephant Camp, Nishani Motte, etc. 

We people of Coorg value of tradition a lot.! Our first priority is cultivating each and every individual with tradition and moral ethics. We people of Coorg tend to honor our country and nature a lot, Every house will have a small part of coffee estate and paddy field. To be frank I have wide variety of fruit plants at my home… Do you want me to name them ? Here it goes - Papaya, gava, pineapple, butterfruit, mango, chikoo, orange and it goes on.!

 We are pride and known as we tend to provide one worrier into Indian army. Each family will have someone working for army and building up the pride.
