Based on Beth Reekles' 2012 novel of the same name, Vince Marcello wrote and directed the 2018 American teen romantic comedy film The Kissing Booth.[1]The American teen-romantic comedy films in the Kissing Booth series were created as Netflix original movies and were only available on the streaming platform. The story revolves around Rochelle "Elle" Evans and the issues that develop when she starts dating her best friend's older brother, and it is based on the novels written by Beth Reekles. The show delves into the high school, romance, friendship, and popularity of teenagers.
Despite receiving negative reviews from reviewers, the series has been successful overall in terms of viewership on streaming services.[3][4] According to Netflix, it is one of their regularly most watched titles.[5][6]At her high school, Rochelle "Elle" Evans is a well-liked and gregarious girl. She has never been kissed in spite of this. Lee, her lifelong closest friend, and she organize a kissing booth event during a spring carnival fair to earn money for their school. Elle has long harbored a covert infatuation for Noah, Lee's macho elder brother. She never gave in to her emotions for years since she and Lee had established ground rules for their friendship. Never dating each other's family members was one of those guidelines. Elle and Noah start a covert romance after exchanging kisses at the party. The two's friendship is strained when Lee finds out. Their differences are eventually resolved.
Elle Evans and Lee Flynn have been best friends since birth in Los Angeles, California. Elle's mother is ill when she is eleven, and she passes away three years later. Elle begins to repress her growing hidden attraction on Lee's popular elder brother, Noah.
Elle finds herself wearing a skirt that is too tiny for the first day of her junior year of high school. Tuppen touches her improperly, and Noah gets into a confrontation with him. Tuppen apologizes while in detention along with Noah and Elle. Elle then consents to meet Tuppen for a date, but he never shows up because Noah has advised everyone not to approach her.
Elle and Lee suggest holding a kissing booth to earn money for the school. During a celebration,
When it starts to rain, Ah offers Elle a ride on his motorcycle, so they seek cover in a gazebo. Elle tells him she can't be simply another sexual conquest as she gives him a kiss there. He confesses his affections for her, hurt.
