Hello everyone, sunrises are always the best. They give us positive vibe and hope in life.
Today I'm going to show you one of my favorite sunrise view point. If you're visiting madikeri or karnataka, keep this place in your list. The place is called “Makkala gudi betta”. Which is located in Somvarpet taluk.
#How to reach?
You can reach this place easily from Mysore. From mysore you will get many direct buses to Somvarpet. But, from Somvarpet there is no bus facility to this place. You have to take any private auto or can to reach here. You can also reach this place from coorg(madikeri). It is just 39km from coorg and 114km from Mysore. The way to reach this place is treat to your eyes. The place is not developed so well, but there is a view point from which you can see sunrise. You have to reach this place by 5.45am or 6am so that is the time of sunrise.
Best time to visit this place is winter or summer. In rainy season that will be more cloudy so, you may not possible to see the sunrise. This place is less crowded, so you can enjoy the nature for more time.
Somvarpete is near to madikeri. Which is called scotlend of india is a must visit place. It is around 39km from here. There is a water falls called "Abbey" near this place. Which is around 20km from here, is a beautiful place to visit. Sakaleshapura is one of the nearest places to visit from here.
I was there in last December i.e December 2020. I went with my friend. It was so good that I was there on my birthday. We reached Somvarpet before a night and stayed in a hotel, it helped us reach out the place on time. There were only few people around so, we stayed there for more time and enjoyed the joy of watching sunrise completely. The place was so beautiful. Please don't litter in this place as there is no good maintenance. So let us keep this place clean while we visit. It is one of those underrated sunrise viewpoint in Karnataka. If you really wanna enjoy sunrise,visit this place. With no doubt this place will give you a good experience.
