Try A New Recipe- Paneer Balls

Hello dear readers

I hope you all are doing well. I am here with a mouth watering recipe. This is basically a type of bhalla. Usually we make them with yellow moong dal, it should be soaked overnight. Sometimes we do not have time to grind it and make a paste. So I am going to share this recipe which does not take this much efforts and the taste is just yummy.

The ingredients that are required to make the cottage cheese balls are-

Cottage cheese (paneer)- 250 grams, boiled potatoes- two, cornflour- two teaspoon, black pepper- one teaspoon, green chillies- two, red chili powder, curd- 400 grams, tamarind chutney- 4 teaspoons, salt- as per your taste, a little bit of cumin powder and oil for frying.

Method to make- Take a bowl and add boiled potatoes in it. Mash them properly. Now crumble the cottage cheese and add in the mashed potatoes. Give it a mix. Now add the other ingredients like cornflour, salt, black pepper, finely chopped green chillies, cumin powder and mix it well. Now take one portion of the prepared mixture and give it a round shape. Do the same process with the rest of the mixture and make all badas. Now heat oil in a pan and deep fry the badas until they get golden brown in colour. Let them get cool for sometime.

If you are making this for kids then you can skip green chillies in it.

If you do not want to deep fry the balls because of health related factors then here is an alternate method for you-

After making the round balls, flat them a little like the way we make tikki and then just take a non stick frying pan. Heat some oil and place the badas in it. Cook it from one side then flip it and let it turn golden brown in colour.

To Serve- When the prepared badas get cool down then put them in the plate in which you want to serve them. Coat them with some curd, tamarind chutney. Sprinkle it with a little red chilli powder, cumin powder and black pepper powder. Your delicious snack is ready to munch. Enjoy.
