I hope you all are doing fine. This blog is different from what I usually write. This is a recipe. Most of us are working from home and we all crave all some snack while working. Sometimes we starve ourselves thinking that we might not burn the calories we are consuming and many of us do not want to consume instant food available in the market because of its negative effects on the body. So I thought to share this.
We are enjoying monsoon season and I think it is incomplete without corn. People enjoy the roasted corn with lemon and salt. Most of us have tried it. Besides the yummy taste, it has many health benefits. Corns have high fibre content which is beneficial for the process of digestion. It also contains Vitamin B and minerals. 100 grams of yellow boiled corn contains near about seventy three percent of water. There are several other benefits too. It will take a lot of time if I start listing them all here.
Today I going to share a corn bhel recipe with with you all.
The ingredients you will need to make this healthy and delicious bhel are- 2 corns, coconut- near about half a cup, chopped onion, cucumber, carrot, tomato- 1 cup in all, half a cup of sprouts, one green chilly, 2 tablespoon of lemon juice, half teaspoon of roasted cumin powder, half teaspoon of chaat masala and salt.
Method- Boil the corn in salt water. When it is boiled properly, take out the corn kernels from the cob. Now add the chopped vegetables- onion, cucumber, tomato, carrot, green chilly, coconut and sprouts in it. You can take the sprouts that are available or you like to eat. Mix it all. Now add the spices- cumin cumin powder, chaat masala, salt and lemon juice. Mix it again.
Now all you have to do is serve it and dig into this bhel that you have prepared. You are always welcome to make some changes in the ingredients as per your choice. It takes some time to get prepared but it is worth your time. Once you are done with all the required ingredients, you have to mix them all. What else can be better than a healthy food option.
