Mindfulness- A Type Of Meditation

Hello readers

In this busy life, we often engage ourselves in multitasking. There are many things which make us stressed and this stress affects our mind. When we are not relaxed, our behaviour is also affected in a negative way. If we want to stay relaxed, keep ourselves away from tension, want to be happy then one of the impactful strategy can be mindfulness. It is an easy method. You just have to focus on whatever you are doing. 

Concentrate on breathing- This is an important part of meditation. For this, you have to sit at some peaceful and ventilated place. Now focus on your breath. Concentrate on how you are inhaling and exhaling the air. Try to feel the air getting in the lungs and stomach. Do this for ten minutes. It will help you in relaxing.

Focus on listening- There are many sounds in the environment. We just need to focus on them. Try to listen to the sound of dry leaves, chirping of birds etc. From which direction is this sound coming…focus on this also. You do not need to concentrate on everything at one time. Just focus on one sound at a time.

Walking- It is a simple process. We do not focus on this usually. You can walk barefoot on a clean floor. Feel the touch of the floor on your foot, weight of your body, stretch in the muscles of legs.

Focus on Eating- Most of us like to watch our favourite shows while eating our meal. Concentrate on the food only while consuming it. You have to focus on the taste, aroma of the food. Take small bites of your food and chew it properly. Try to feel its taste. This is specially for those people who eat the food in hurry.

Eating

Focus on work-  Many of us try to do several things at one time. In this type of meditation, you need to focus on one task at a given time. If you are reading something then focus on reading only. When you concentrate on one work then it is done better and effectively. For most of us multitasking is not easy. Sometimes it just confuses us and takes more time than usual.

Summing Up-

There are several methods to keep yourself realxed and happy, mindfulness is one of them. These were some of the common techniques which might be very helpful to you.
