Hello dear readers

Mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives. You can currently using phone/laptop to read this blog. Our mobile phones have all our information including bank account numbers and other details too. It has made several tasks easier for us like transferring money with some clicks or ordering something online in the comfort of our home. But it is also true that these facilities have ruin our privacy.

Cyber hackers can hack our devices and can get access to all our information. They can do anything with our data like withdrawing money from the account or hacking our social media accounts. They can even hack with the help of message, links etc. So it becomes more important to be careful. Here are some of the things that you should follow-

  • From social media to bank account application, keep a two step verification or one time password (OTP) setting to login.
  • Keep the password strong including special characters etc. so it won't be easy for others to know.
  • Never share you ATM card PIN, social media accounts' password with anyone and do not send password through messages.
  • Don't open unreliable websites. Sometimes to download a movie or a song, we do this.

How to know if the device is hacked?

  • If the battery of your device is draining faster than usual then it the reason could be hacking. Generally, the battery life decreases with time but when the device is hacked then the battery gets low very quick because of malware.
  • If the phone is hacked then the applications starts to open on their own. The consumption of data also gets increased. Some applications get downloaded automatically.
  •  The speed of the mobile also decreases. The applications start to crash and you need to restart it often.
  • If you are receiving OTP messages without doing anything then it can also indicate hacking because OTP are only sent on the registered mobile number.
  • Spyware are common now. The hacker just calls on the mobile number and give a missed call. The spyware gets activated and it copies all the data and sends it to the hacker.

There should be a constant check on the mobile and its proper working. If you find anything like this then immediately do something.

Thank you for reading this blog and if you find it useful then share your feedback.
