Many people are habitual of drinking tea everyday. There are different varieties of tea available. Black tea, herbal tea, white tea, green tea, masala chai are some of the types of tea. Most of these come from same plant (Camellia sinensis) but they are processed using different methods which enable them to have different taste and properties. Green tea is made from unoxidised leaves. In comparison to other types of tea like black tea or oolong tea, green tea is less processed. Due to this reason, it has high amount of antioxidants which helps in reducing fat. It also decreases the risk of several types of heart diseases and cancer. When to drink- There is no fixed time to consume green tea. It can be taken in daytime. It you are consuming it to reduce weight then you can drink it after having your meal.

Green tea has many benefits but it is important to note that excessive amount of green tea can be harmful as it can damage the liver so do not consume more than two cups of green tea in a day. It is not advised to take green tea empty stomach. Before having it, you can have some nuts or snacks.
