Hello readers

I hope you all are doing fine. This is another recipe blog this time I am writing about Healthy and delicious snack. Being an Indian, I love to eat chaat. When you crave for something crispy and loaded with taste then you can try this black chickpea cutlet. These cutlet are little time consuming but trust me these are extremely delicious.

The ingredients that you will need to make these chickpea cutlets are-

Boiled potatoes- 4, black chickpea (boiled) -one and a half cup, coriander and cumin powder- 1 teaspoon, black salt- one teaspoon, chilli flakes- one teaspoon, mango powder (amchur) - one teaspoon, salt- one teaspoon, chopped green chilly- 4-5, green coriander leaves, finely chopped onion- 1, all purpose flour and cornflour- 1 teaspoon, bread crumbs and oil for frying.

Method to make this delicious chickpea cutlet is -

Take the boiled potatoes and black chickpea in a bowl. Mash them properly. Now add salt, green chilly, coriander leaves, chilly flakes, mango powder, black salt and cumin powder. Mix them together to make a mixture. Divide this mixture into equal parts. Now take one portion of this mixture and give it a cylindrical shape. If you want it look like tikki then take give it a round shape and then flatten it. If you want different shapes then make use of cutlet mould. Do this process with the rest of the mixture and make all the cutlets. Now take a bowl and add all purpose flour and cornflour in it. Add some water to make a thick batter. Take dip the prepared cultets in this batter and then give them a coating of bread crumbs. Now these are ready for frying. Put them in hot oil and fry until they get golden brown don't over fry them. Serve them hot with tamarind chutney or green chutney. Enjoy this yummy snack.

Alternate Method-

It you do not want to eat deep fried cutlets then you can shallow fry them. For this, use a non-stick frying pan and heat one to two tablespoons of oil. When it gets heated then place the cutlets in it and cook it from one side until it gets golden brown. Then flip them over and cook from other side as well.
