Have you ever thought about why our parents’ generation lived a happier, more connected life?
I am not saying that people in today’s world have become self-obsessed, selfish, depressed, and boring individuals, but would I be wrong if I say that all the above things are true?
My cousin brother, who doesn’t even have wifi in his house (no he’s not poor, he just doesn’t consume that much net) said to me, “We are too involved in staying indoors, being busy with our devices, that we have stopped taking an interest in other people’s lives.”
The sad thing is that today’s youth thinks it’s funny if a relative or loved one asks them about their lives, grades, and future plans.
I agree that relatives can be a pain in the ass at times, but not all of them!
We, humans, are social creatures, who have the basic instinct of liking to talk & share with others.
If we stop doing that, will stay happy. I don’t think so.
I performed a small experiment on my own self. I didn’t talk much to anyone for 24 hours. People close to me didn’t even notice the change! And that’s when I realized that people have stopped caring. (Add me to the list as well)
We are so busy in our day to day lives that we consider it irritating to talk to others, even if it’s for just five minutes of the day.
We can easily spend hours at the end binge-watching on Netflix and Prime, but we won’t talk.
Well, because it’s the new norm. To not talk!
You can have all the riches of the world but still be depressed, and not know the reason behind it!
Because what makes you happy isn’t just money; it’s your ability to love others and accept them the same!
When you bestow your love, care, and kindness to others (including strangers), you will feel the utmost sense of happiness grabbing at your heart, spreading around your body and creating an aura of positivity around you!
You will be more thankful for everything that’s in your life and stretch towards an optimistic Lifestyle. Did I share? You have a better chance of missing a heart attack if you stay optimistic.
Remember this:
Positivity invites an aura of Happiness while negativity invites an aura of sadness and depression.
The people in your life, your life choices, decisions, your confidence, self-esteem, and everything else depends on all of this!
So make a choice that you feel is worth it!
I know this write-up of mine might not be that interesting or that inspiring, but it speaks the valuable truth about Happiness.
