Thi movie continues after the story of fifty shades of grey. 

After ana leaves grey , he became very lonely and started having his childhood nightmares. On the other hand we see that ana has got a job as an editor in SIP and is now an assistant of jack. 

One day ana unexpectedly runs into grey during an art exibition. Ana's friend painted her pictures which was showcased during the exibition but later grey buys all of them. Later grey tells ana that he want her back in her life badly and will agree to her no rules, no policies and no punishment thing. He aslo tells ana about her mother who was a sex worker. 

Ana found something unusual as there was a women following her. 

Ana and jack goes to the bar for the celebration where Gery comes in and takes ana away. Later when jacks asks of ana to go with her on a expo trip he was immediately interrupted by grey told ana not to leave with Jack.

Later grey tells ana about his plan of buying the SIP , which ana found very annoying as it was her work place and didn't want to work under Grey's supervision.

One day when ana and grey went for a walk 

she again noticed that same women and asked grey for her identity of which grey replied as that women was his former associate ,after there contract ended she still wanted more of which grey refused to. Later she got married to a man who died of an accident.

Christian's family organises a Chitty ball every year and grey wanted ana to accompany him this time to the ball. When ana agreed to him he took ana to a salon, Leila the owner of the salon 

was the women who introduced this bdsm lifestyle to grey and seduced him since he was a minor, of which ana was thrilled to know that grey is still in touch with that woman who ruined his childhood.

Later in the ball she meets with Grey's sister , and she tells her that his mother died when he was young. Later ana runs into Leila and threaten her to saty away form grey. Because of this Leila later destroys ana's car which was a gift from grey.

Later during the work jack tried to assault ana and grey fires him for this pathetic act of him. Later ana is promoted and now she is the chief editor.

Later Leila threatens ana but grey arrives at the right time and controls Leila but the way he does it makes ana to reconsider there relationship of which grey confesses to her that he love to seduce womens.

 one day grey leaves for a business trip piloting his own helicopter which later meet to an accident and evryone gets worried over this news. But later when ana comes to know that grey is safe she accepts Grey's proposal of marriage.

Later during a party Elena and grey had a heated argument and his sister overheard , of which she advices Elena to leave. 

Later grey proposes ana again and she accepts . 

The firecracker emerged and during this beautiful moment we see jack from behind cursing and thinking of revange of what ana did to him.
