Hello everyone I am back with yet another fantastic movie. Weathering with you is an animated romantic fantasy film. It was released in 2019. This movie is based on japanese legend called ‘sunshine girl’. Like most of the animated movies you are going to cry on this one as well. I like anime movies because of these stories which literally touches a person's heart.

Plot:

In  june 2021 , 1st year highschool student Hodaka Morishima ( male lead) escapes kozushima and went to Tokyo. When his ferry is hit by a rainstorm he is saved by keisuke Suga, who gives him his business card. As hodaka is under age and struggles to find a job he meets a girl Hina Amano (female lead), an employee in a restaurant. She gives him some food as he is broke. Later hodaka finds ab abandoned gun in a dustbin. He finally meets Suga again and asks him for some work. He met natsumi who is suga's niece. Suga hires him as an assistant in a small occult magazine publishing company where they investigate urban legends. From a psychic they her a legend of sunshine girl who can control weather.

Hodaka sees hina again but this time in some trouble. He saves her by scaring the men from firing the gun he found in the air. Hina takes him to an abandoned building with a shrine on the top. She confronts hin about the gun. He throws the gun away and follows hina. Hina shows him her ability by clearing the sky. Hodaka got to know that hina lives alone with her brother nagi. Seeing there financial problems he proposes to start a business with her sunshine girl powers . They create a website to accept orders and their business became quickly and success.   However when clearing the sky for jingu fireworks festival Hina is shown on television and their site gets flooded with request so the decide to close their business.

Hodaka's family files a missing person report. A detective with police searches for Hodaka. They find out that hodaka was caught using a gun on a security camera. Officers arrives at hina's apartment to ask about hodaka. They notices that there is no adult guardian with Hina and Nagi. Social services are going to take them into custody and separate them. After which the detectives went to meet Suga. When they left Suga calls hodaka and fires him and pays him his seperation pay, explaining him the seriousness of the situation.  Hodaka , hina and Nagi try to runaway, but they halted by the worsening weather. They take shelter in a hotel and spend night having fun . During midnight, Hina shows hodaka that her body is disappearing as she prays for the clear weather. She explains that she is the reason for the worsening weather and as she will completely disappear the weather will be back to normal . Hodaka promises to protect her, but the next morning, hina has vanished into the sky and the rain has stopped.

In the morning, plice tracks hodaka in the hotel room. Nagi is sent to the children's councelling center and hodaka to the police station. Hodaka decides to bring hina back to earth. He escapes from police station where he meets natsumi who helps home in escaping. While the police was chasing hodaka and natsumi , her motorcycle is immobilized , hodaka resumes on foot to yoyogi kaikan abandoned building to reach the shrine. He meets Suga who tries to stop him . The police surrounds hodaka , but Suga who is now affected by hodaka's desperation to see hina, stops them and help hodaka to escape. At the rooftop hodaka escapes the shrine and is transported to sky, where he finds hina and asks her to leave with him. As soon as they reach the rooftop shrine . Hodaka, natsumi, Suga and hina are arrested and the heavy rainfall is resumed.  Hodaka is sentenced to a three year probation and is sent back to his home town.

Three years passed, rain has been falling without an end in Tokyo, submerging much of the city. In the spring 2024 , hodaka ends his probation and graduates high school. He returns to Tokyo to start College. He meets Suga who has expanded his business. After Suga encourages him to find hina, he finds her praying on a street. They reunite with each other and have a happ ever after.

The animation and story is bit similar to your name . I have already seen many movies like these therefore for me it was not very intersting. Over all its a nice movie. Not too interesting.
