Don movie is a well meaning movie. It aim to talk about our educational system, oily processing machines. Whatever the input, the output must be the same. We also strive to talk about India's parents' unwavering belief in the system. But for films with such lofty ideals, Don's writing rarely delves into the nuances. It's all extreme. For example, the two main villains in the film are chakravarthy's father and his college disciplinary director, Bomminathan (Sj Surya). Most often,they are the letters of a single note. If chakravarthy's father is crazy about grades, Bomminathan crazy about discipline. Their actions are portrayed as borderline tyranny . But later this is rationalised in just a few seconds, and when they realise that the chakravarthy has a “dream”, they transform into magically kind and empathetic people. It is undeniable that they may want the best for their son / student. But her good intentions do not erase the emotional trama that the chakravarthy faces as a result of her actions. The reality doesn't work in binaries, but it's a nuance you can't expect from Don's writing.

Angayarkanni may be a brave girl. She beats her senior who is molesting her friend and protects her friend.
