Remdesivir ,

 it's an anti viral medication, as we all know is now used to treat the severe COVID 19 patients. It was first developed for the treatment of ebola but was not very much effective on it.

Later scientist while developing the medication of corona thought of using the same as corona is also a viral disease. 

Scientist found it effective on corona and it's now a kind of a life saver for those whose lungs are severely infected.

First when corona enters in our body it needs a mode of replication as it can not do this by its own. Our body has a photocopy machine know as ribosome. Corona uses it to replicate itself and within a day it's no. Increases to a great extent and start filling the space in our lungs leaving no space to breathe. This is the reason why COVID affected people suffer from hypoxia.

When a person is severely infected, our immune system comes in action but later it becomes less effective and due to this our own immune system starts destroying the inner layer of the lungs. Eg. In a very populated place when a rumor spread that there is a fire outspread, we see that many people starts rushing to escape the situation and because of this haphazard many people even die. Same thing happen in our body as well. This is the reason why doctor gives a shot of dexamethasone 

 as it completely suppresses our immune system response and later a remdesivir shot is given. 

This is one of the main reason behind the developing cases of black fungus as our immune system get suppresses so if our body is exposed to any of the bacteria or fungi it will severely affect the body. Our body becomes so weak that we can die even of a pneumonia. So after giving a dexamethasone shot patient is kept in an isolated place. 

When a patient is severely infected by this virus a shot of remdesivir is given. 

What happens here is corona is a RNA virus and is made up of nucleotides. It has a nucleotide adenine on it and remdesivir on the other hand replaces the adenine with itself. So later after the replication when both the strands of corona ultimately zips up to form the main body , the zipping is not properly done as it contains an outside material. Eg. There is a zip made of a metal and in between there are some plastic zips included ,after zipping a time will come when  it will open up. Same thing happen with corona , after the formation because it is loosely attached it unbinds leading opening of both the strands.

But corona on the other hand contain an enzyme known as 2,5 exo ribo nuclease which detects the foreign material in corona leading to the removal of remdesivir molecules from corona strands and this is the reason why people are also considering it to be a man made virus.

This is the reason why doctor gives 3- 4 shots of remdesivir so that it can bypass the corona detector and corona ultimately confuses the remdesivir molecule to its own adenine.

Later when it becomes weak our immune system comes in action and destroys every strand of the corona.
