The waves are rippling, the grass is green, the sky is covered with dark clouds, and there is a regular drizzle.
Not the best conditions for a vacation, but hopeful for the future. But what this weather reminds me of is pop sex songs sung by Rupert Grint's troll dolls. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to Ed Sheeran's new song "Shape of You." .
Ed Sheeran, real name Edward Christopher Sheeran, is an English-born singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer. Although he released his first album, Spinning Man, in 2004 and worked on several hits in the meantime, his 2011 album .
While "Castle on a Hill" garnered most of its success from its fan base, "Shape of You" quickly made him No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it a relatively top stayed in I know Ed Sheeran is a famous artist, but I'm a little surprised at how famous this song has become. His music video has 1.5 billion views on YouTube, so there must be something good about this song. I've done some research, so I'll let you know what I think.
So this song is basically Sheeran's take on a club sex song. This should be his hot, steamy banger dancing and grinding when the DJ turns him on. After watching Sheeran's interview, I heard that the song was originally written for Rihanna. I found this to be an interesting fact. As a casual Rihanna fan, I'm approaching this topic in hopes of hearing something Ed hasn't touched before.
The lyrics are mediocre overall. The first verse and chorus really get the song on track, but the second verse really conveys the song's message and the bridge doesn't matter. Let's not talk about beats anymore. Enough explained. My thoughts may seem negative at this point, but I'll give him a go. It's a really catchy song. He's one of those songs that once you hear it, you'll have the chorus singing in your head for days. Sheeran has a knack for writing catchy songs, which is probably why she's so popular. I originally intended to give this song her 3, but gave it a 3.5 out of 5 because of its insatiably catchy instrumental. Do you agree?
