Five out of Five - 5/5 From "Jaws" to "Anaconda," and almost everything in between, I despised the natural horror genre, because animals are my passion, and these movies that I have seen are inaccurate, predictable, painfully unlikable, and are not so high on the fear factor. This was the worst movie I've seen in a long time.This is also Idris Elbas worst roll ever. With all the media hype round he & his daughter being at odds it's probably over the fact that he took this sucky roll. There was no plot or story line. The writers of the movies script were extremely horrible. Why would someone be out in Africa in the wild with two little girls whose mom apparently was of African descent, mention that their mom was teaching them how to speak the native language yet they didn't speak but 2 or 3 words the entire movie, why is there a English or British guy who is explained to be their mothers childhood friend? The girls refer to him as their uncle?Why are they in the wilds of Africa shooting a .22 rifle to kill & protect themselves while they go about roaming freely without a scout? Why is Idris playing a DR, yet after theyre all attacked the only medical care they recieve is him telling the Co-actor to place a belt tightly around his leg to stop that bleeding, heat up a knife in 30 seconds ,place it on the artery of his leg to burn it in order to stop the bleeding.Idris finds liquor in an old abandoned school house to wash his hands with, so he can tell his daughter that there are no major arties exposed, he then rips a small peice of cloth, pours some liquor on it ,then telling her to apply pressure to the wound with the rag. If you think that's the worst part.. then he gets into a head on fight with the 600- 800lbs Lion with only literally a butter knife after 4 missed shot with the .22 rifle (not a big game rifle). He's bitten on the leg, flung in the air, ,tackled,flipped over,pounced on, bitten on the arm again, before 2 other Lions come to his rescue against the one. The 2 are barely able to take on the 1 lion but Idris did. He and his daughters survive after his 5 minute unbelievable goofy fight scene. My daughter paid for the tickets and I was so disappointed that I asked her to refund me for the ticket and my time wasted. Smh ( She knew that I was joking) but seriously stay home in the comfort of your own animal kingdom cause you will have more excitement than watching this horrible worthless movie .
