#### Early Life

Clinton Francis Barton, known to the world as Hawkeye, had a troubled early life. Born in Waverly, Iowa, Clint and his brother Barney faced a series of hardships after losing their parents in a car accident. Orphaned at a young age, the Barton brothers ran away from the orphanage they were placed in and eventually joined a traveling circus. It was here that Clint's life took a pivotal turn.

At the circus, Clint was taken under the wing of two performers: the Swordsman, a skilled swordsman and acrobat, and Trick Shot, an expert archer. Recognizing Clint’s natural talent for marksmanship, Trick Shot trained him rigorously, honing his skills to near superhuman levels. Clint adopted the stage name “Hawkeye” and became a star attraction at the circus, showcasing his exceptional archery skills.
