I'm very proud to be an Indian. I'm very happy to tell me about my country. India is also called as Bharat and Hindustan. India has 29 states and 7 union territories. India is a Democratic country. India is the second largest populated country. India has tri colour flag namely saffron, white and green with Ashoka chakra in the middle in the white.

When we talk about Indian culture we always remember about the wedding of Indians usually India is multi cultured country in India the culture of North Indians is completely different from the South Indian culture.
When comes to the Indian food, India is blessed with its soil, diversity, climate, vegetables, fruits and spices. Foreigners love Indian foods very much for its taste, aroma, spices. Dosa, panipuri, biryani and curry are some of their favorite Indian food.
India has many tourists place. Every foreigner would wish to see the beautiful Taj Mahal whenever they come to india. And Taj Mahal is one among the seven wonders of the world. India has beaches, deserts, snow covered places, villages, cities etc.,
More than 108 languages are spoken in India. However, only 22 language are recognised by the Indian Constitution. Each Indian state has its own language. For example, in Karnataka people speak Kannada, Tamil Nadu- Tamil, Kerala- Malayalam, in North India most of the people speak Hindi.
In India we have n number of festivals in fact every it it a festival. Here Ganesha chaturthi is celebrated for one month in Maharashtra Ganesha chaturthi is a big festival for them not only Ganesha chaturthi here Holi, Diwali, Navaratri, Sankranti is celebrated grandly.
The major religions followed by the people are Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism.
In India people are so kind. Foreigners love Indian people for their kindness and their greetings usually Indians wish namaste for hello.
Farmers are considered as the backbone of India because 70% of Indians are depend on farming. India is blessed with different types of soil and climate. Rice, wheat, ragi, sugarcane, cotton are the major plantation done in India.
National anthem of India is written by Rabindranath Tagore. I love my country. Iam proud to say about my country.
