Chair Surya Namaskar is a fantastic effort by yoga practitioners to make yoga available for all.
We all know about the regular Surya Namaskar. It is a combination of 12 yoga poses, which includes stretching & weight training exercises.
Chair Surya Namaskar (Chair + Sun + Salutation) is the combination of 12 yoga poses similar to the regular Suryanamaskar, the main difference is it being is done on a chair.
We all are aging day by day. Our parents & grandparents need extra care for good health. Sometimes, due to their age & health ailments, they are not able to stand or sit for regular exercises.
Most of them do not do any exercise or yoga. In this scenario, Chair Suryanamaskar can be a magical exercise for our elder ones.
We all ( as young people of our family ) can persuade our elders to do this simple exercise, that can be done on a chair.

First Way
Breathing Sequence will inhale in step-1 & then exhale in step-2. Similarly, repeat the process in steps-3 and 4. In step-5, hold the breath for some time.
From step-6, continue the same inhale & exhale process with the yoga sequences in the same way as shown in the above picture.

Second Way
Breathing Sequence - Start the first pose as pranam (or namaste). Inhale in second pose & exhale in the third one . Continue this alternating breathing process till the end of yoga positions as shown above.

Physical activity is very important for all. Chair Surya Namaskar should not be restricted to elder people of the family.
Everyone can do it anytime & anywhere. Chair Suryanamaskar can be used to release our body stiffness & relax our muscles.
I have already convinced my grandparents & my mother to do the same. Initially, they were not so interested but now they all are doing it regularly after feeling the improvement
