Have you ever wished for something that did not even have one in a million chances of getting granted? I am sure everyone would have hoped for such things in their life and would have expected someone dressed up in the form of luck to come and turn things around for you.
Well, right before COVID19 lockdown had begun in India in March 2019, a significant number of us wanted a life where you could be at home all day watching movies and TV series. Our greed of wishes scaled newer heights when we even expected the semester exams to get cancelled and get results without having to write an examination. The initial days were indeed a dream come true for most of us.
Now, lets take keep our foot again at the present times and talk about the same expectations with our emotions changed. After COVID19 was announced as a pandemic, it began to go deep inside the layers of our heart and somehow made our negative emotions take the front seat in our mind. All of us wanted online classes just a few years back, but now we all want to get back over there and attend classes in the classroom with our friends sitting right next to us.
We all wanted to stay at home all day without having to do any work. Well, do you really feel the need to continue doing this? I am sure everyone would have felt the need to step out just to get some fresh air and would have hoped for this pandemic to end just to walk freely without a mask on our face.
Memes on COVID19 made us smile until we witnessed the death of our loved ones and hospitals were never a sight of relief a few years back, but securing a room in a hospital with an oxygen cylinder brought relief to millions of people. No one expected a race for booking our vaccination slots. Remember the days when news channels used to have headlines that used to change everyday. Well, for the past few years, those headlines never changed and made us settle with the new normal.
So, when you wish for something to happen in your life and it happens, it doesn't mean that it is going to constantly surge your positive emotions. COVID19 pandemic proved that to us in a manner that one would never try forgetting.
