The best thing happened in lockdown 2020 during the first wave of Covid when We decided to get a pet and after long conversations we came to a decision of which breed we want to adopt . Chihuahua is world's smallest dog breed and when I saw Rio's pictures I fell in love with little beauty .
We adopted him in a day after seeing his pictures and there he was my Son all amused looking at him in a basket n asking me why there is rat in a basket. I explained He is a little baby we have to feed him so he can grow bigger n look like a Dog . Ever since my Son never missed a day to feed him.
Rio just never gets tired. He can play anytime. The play trigger word for him is FETCH . He follows everyone around home especially me. He is been my emotional support n never fails to make me feel special. Chihuahua's are special never give a second thought if you want to adopt one. Their energy levels at any time of the day will be high. They are good eaters . They are the loudest alarms in case a stranger walks in. Best emotional support for anyone who feels alone. They are very smart dogs as well Rio understands every move of us and follows every command .
Rio is very generous when it comes to shower love. He is very attentive to every little detail of sound goes around. Everytime my Son shouts Rio comes to his rescue. I always wonder How this little fellow can be so caring . Rio has never disturb our sleep and wakes up once he see us moving out of Bed. Chihuahua's are perfect for small houses as well as they require very less space n easily manageable. The kind of love n care they will share with you is the thing you may have been missing your entire life. Rio completed our little world with his little paws and we have never regretted adopting him not even when he chewed my airpods .
I never understood how this silent bond overgrows you everyday and it becomes unshakeable. Rio speaks to me with his eyes and I understand his need just with the way he is looking at me .
My love for my Baby Rio grows everyday .
