Doctors- the team which is selflessly and ardently occupied to provide relief to the population for the past one and half year. During the pandemic, we all realized the value and the effort put in by the medical department for the safety of us.
July 1 is recognized as National Doctors day. This is Observed by the IMA ( Indian Medical Association). It is celebrated as a mark of respect for Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy who was the Chief Minister of Bengal. His birth and death anniversary, both fall on this day (1882-1962). He has worked selflessly for the society. This day was celebrated for the first time in 1991.

and USA it is celebrated on March 30. In Kuwait, its 3rd March. Its October 18 in Brazil. Canada observes it on May 1. Cuba declared it on December 3rd. Malaysia celebrates it on 10th October. In Nepal, its 4th March which is recognized as the day of doctors.
Every year there is a theme for the celebration. On this day, IMA will pay tribute to the ones who lost their lives wile fighting with the deadly virus. Different hospitals have different ideas to thank the “Corona warriors”
We must not overlook the contribution of the healthcare industry in helping people from the suffering during the time of pandemic. Many doctors have lost their own lives while serving the patients.
“Medicines cure diseases, but only doctors can cure patients”- Carl Jung
We all are well aware of the time, effort and hark work a person has to put in to reach there. We must appreciate the sacrifice that these people do while studying and while practicing their work. It is not easy to keep your patients above everything else. Doctors neglect their personal lives and are always available on duty when there is a crisis situation or when their patients need them.
“Doctors are the boon directly sent from God for us. Salute to the heroic job”
whenever there is an emergency, doctors forget everything and reach the patients like God. They are absolutely committed to their profession. Their dedication is worth a mention.
For them, the white coat is their cape and the stethoscope is the jewelry. “They are the engineers of human body.” Their focus and impartiality is the virtue that gives them success and respect.
On this day, let us thank the front liners for their sacrifices, let us thank them for their services and let us tell them they are important.
