Women have been considered as an object to satisfy the sexual desires of men and to sacrifices her dreams and passions for the happiness of society. The society has been treating women with discrimination and bias, the society should realize that women too have dreams, passions and their own choices. It is the duty of the society to support them and give respect towards their choices in certain aspects which has been guaranteed under Article 21 of the constitution of India .
Every year on March 8th the world celebrates “INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY”, What is the point in celebrating this day without providing justice to women community. The society should be ashamed of it's machiavellian activities towards the women community.
Women have all the right to make their voice against the society on the aspects regarding Abortion, gender revealing, Body Shaming and Menstrual Knowledge. The society should understand that women have all the right to Abort if she is not ready to be a mother, it is her choice whether to abort or not because it is her body and it is her right.
According to the survey conducted by Fortis Healthcare 50% women body shamed at least once in life. Women have always been a victim for body shaming, if she is overweight or vice versa , she has been targeted. The society has no right to body shame one, it completely depends on that person to become fat or thin it is their body and it is completely their choice, the society has no voice regarding that.
Women has been discriminated from high post in the name of menstrual cycle and pregnancy, as the society feels women is unfit to get into the post as she take leave on those days. The society should known the basic knowledge regarding the menstrual cycle. The society should give support and encouragement to women by reminding her that she is strong rather than making her down and taking away the opportunities from her. The point of celebrating women's day is to give women the equal status as other gender which has been stated under Article 14 of the constitution of India. Society should also stop treating women as a mere object. Instead the society has to create awareness on the importance of this day which has to be taught from the root level. By creating such an awareness from the root level the concept of women being an object will change. Each one has to contribute their support by respecting the choices of women and treating them without any bias for a bright tomorrow.
The theme of this year INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY IS “BREAKING THE BIAS”. It is the duty of each one of you to make this theme into a reality, stop the discrimination against women. If she says No to a particular thing then that means No itself. Don't wait for other's to make a change , Make a change by yourself.
