Hello folks... I hope that everyone is doing well. I have not written anything for a very long time. And so, here I am, resuming this summer with an informative blog.
Preserving coolness and safety becomes paramount as summer heatwaves reach their climax and temperatures approach fifty degrees Celsius. In addition to being uncomfortable, extreme heat can cause major health problems including heat stroke. The following are some practical strategies to shield oneself from the intense summer heat:
A Few Tips to Beat the Heat:
Maintain Hydration: Water is your best beverage throughout the day. Even if you're not thirsty, carry a bottle about and take frequent sips from it. To keep your electrolyte balance in check, include beverages like coconut water, lemon water, and oral rehydration treatments.
Wear Airy Clothes: Opt for cotton or other loose-fitting, airy, light-colored clothing that breathes well. Keep your colors light since they absorb more heat.
Minimise Outside Activities: Attempt to avoid going outside between 11 AM and 4 PM, when it's the hottest. If you must be outside, carry an umbrella or wear a hat with a broad brim and take regular pauses in the shade.
Use Sunscreen: At least 30 minutes before going outside, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to all exposed skin. Every two hours, or more frequently if you perspire, reapply.
Keep Your Home Cool: To keep the inside temperature at a comfortable level, use coolers, air conditioners, or fans. To keep away direct sunlight, close your blinds or drapes.
Chilly Baths and Showers: To reduce body temperature, use chilly baths or showers. Applying a moist towel to your neck or forehead might also offer immediate comfort.
Eat Light Meals: Choose meals that are simple to digest and light. Melons and cucumbers are two examples of fresh produce that is rich in water content.
Steer clear of caffeine and alcohol since they might dehydrate you. Instead, give attention to chilled herbal teas, fresh juices, and water.
Embracing Tea in the Heat:
We Indians have an unwavering affection for our tea, even in the intense heat. I, along with many others, am addicted to a strong cup of tea. Tea helps to regulate body temperature by encouraging perspiration, which cools the body, even if it may seem strange to enjoy a hot beverage in such circumstances.
In order to keep yourself hydrated and combat the summer heat, balance your favorite tea with lots of water and cold snacks.
You may enjoy the summer safely and comfortably by paying attention to the warning signs of severe heat and by heeding these guidelines. Remain cool, drink plenty of water, and don't forget to enjoy your much-loved tea breaks!
