Bonsoir mes amis!! Comment ca va ? Je vais bien. You might be thinking why do I use french words in between? Actually, during my vacation period, I started learning French. I love it , Not because I watch some French movies or series, Or I have some future plans to visit France someday, I did because I just wanted to. The pronunciations are way out of my league, I sometimes fumble while speaking simple English words due to a lack of confidence may be, Let alone French!! Learning it from an app called DUOLINGO. You might be acquainted with this app, and must have seen advertisements on  Youtube. That's where I got to know about this wonderful application.

YEAR : 2017

I remember In my 10th class days, My friend and I decided to learn Spanish and French words. We were so excited. We bought a new notebook. Requested Papa to rent us his phone for a while to use the internet. We were not given personal phones at that time. However, in the present time, I observe that kids are allowed to have their personal phones. I don't envy them, but I think having phones at a such young age is a possible reason to gamble with those kids' lives.

Switching back to the main topic. We sat and googled “ How to speak French?” Clicked on the first video link. We both had our mouths open, eyes wide, and were looking at each other. The video had some french words with the pronunciation. That we both could not understand obviously. Then we decided to search again. We typed “Some daily speaking French Words”. There were hundreds of web pages in front of us. Scrolled up and down for a while and then finally landed on a page. It had a vast list of Commonly used French Words along with the English meaning and Pronunciation. Like :

Bonjour - Hello/Good mornig ,

 Salut-Bye,

A demain- See you tomorrow,

Merci- Thank You,

 Fille-Girl,

 Femme-Woman,

 Garcon-Boy,

 Homme-Man,

Chat-Cat,

Chien-Dog,

Velo-Bike,

Voiture-Car,

Beacoup-A lot….. We looked at each other, smiling, and took pen, notebook to write down them exactly. None of us tried to pronounce it. How childish we were. We wrote the French word with Pink pen and the English meaning with Green ink. Also did not forget to underline it with a silver pen. We were so happy at that time. And then we decided to learn and use/practice at least 5 Words every day. We continued for maybe a couple of weeks and then we had our boards. And completely forgot about French. I still have that little notebook with me, in my bookshelf. I kept it as a memory. And I feel proud of ourselves that we at least tried.

YEAR : 2022

After Graduation, I continued my hobby of learning French and it's Day 100 of completing my lessons every single day. Better than maintaining the SNAPSTREAKS, I guess.

Thank you for reading this. Good Night!
