This determination towards education made him a scientist. Abdul kalam was known as the Missile man and was awarded the title of Bharat Ratna. He was the first scientist to become the President of India. Abdul Kalam stood for compassion love and a high sense of duty. He emphasized that ine should make use of one's sharp intelligence and creativity to make dreams come true and the leaders of the country should be role models for other. Abdul kalam was very fond of children. He always said that future of a nation depends on its bright young mind. He met children from all over the country in Rastrapati Bhavan.
