“We must embrace our pain and burn it as fuel for our journey”.
This is what I am going to write about in this blog, sharing my experience with you all about a phase when something hit you unexpectedly and you don’t know how to react? What to do first? Because at the moment you are full of anxiety, panic and stress and this was obvious to happen with me as well.
When it first hit my mother I knew it would hit me too and no doubt it did and then we all three including my father have to isolate ourselves that means no interaction with outsiders or other family members.
Now the worry was who will cook the food? Who will clean the utensils? How should we get in touch with the doctor and how we will manage other things? But I am blessed enough “touch wood” to have such a great maternal family, who in no time managed to get everything in place for us during those 14 days including my friends some of whom are living far and some near but no matter what, they always make me feel their presence.
During normal days also I am a kind of person who loves to sleep as and when possible because I am not addicted to it but I just love to and you may call me a lazy ass which is true to some extent but this habit of sleeping made me to overcome this phase with a little more strength and little more ease because for most of us sleeping means to escape the odd for a while, to gain peace in mind and body and the same is with me since years so apart from eating healthy, you must sleep well i.e. as much as you can .
Then there comes a phase when your dosage of medicines start to reduce after completing a period of 10 days and this is the time when you don’t feel like sleeping whole day so now what to do? How to keep your mind occupied? I use to binge watch web series, sunsets, I use to sit in my balcony inhaling fresh air or just have gossip sessions with my parents and laugh with them, trust me it’s the best thing ever since you will not feel the need of your gadgets during those times.
Another important aspect of life I truly feel grateful and blessed for is having such humans in my life who made sure we get the best of everything from getting tested immediately to the consultation from the best doctor, from proper and nutritious food to getting the best treatment, from making sure we don’t lack anything to making sure of keeping a check on all three of us every moment of the day.
They say you get what you give and this was proven during such tough times, no matter how much and how many times I offer my heartfelt gratitude to the almighty, my family and friends for lifting me up with their unending support and love, it will always be less and short of words for these are the feelings and emotions you can never completed it is something which stays in our heart for life.
