Are You Developing Yourself: The Power Of Saying No.

Hey everyone so I decided to write something about self-development and  this blog will focus on one of the most important aspect that may go unnoticed while we are conducting ourselves but needs to be looked upon. That is the power of saying “No”.

first of all the question comes in why is this even important to consider. Well anyone can deny things that they don't like. BUT IS IT REALLY that simple to say no?

Well, if you ask anyone of your age holding any kind of responsibility, they would have faced a dilemma in their life, at least once. Where they had to choose between something correct and something that is desired.

In these kinds of situations, one should prioritize the importance and long-term effect one's decision would lead to. and not seek the easy way out of the circumstances.

It is important to understand that saying no will not make you negligent or incapable instead it shows your competence and a sense of self-awareness. Let's understand by a single example. You are on your way to completing your assignment or any of the projects and you get a call from your friend, who is inviting you for a Friday night party. now you had a well-drafted plan for yourself to complete your work early and enjoy the rest of the time you have on your weekend. But just because you don't want to look rude to your friend you accept the offer. the result will never be in favor of yours nor the friend circle you are hanging out with. This is due to the fact that you are not giving your 100% anywhere and are lost in the middle.

But if we analyze the other condition where you say no and stick to your priority, then you are able to complete your task and later have fun with your friends as it was a weekend and that they also understand that you have your boundaries clear. We need to understand that whether we are in a professional setting or a personal/family setting. We have to make sure of our boundaries and healthily showcase them.

So in this way you learned how even negative words can bring lots of affirmative change in your life. Especially if it is related to your development and maintain healthy relations where everyone understands you. This blog does not only highlight the importance of saying no but also understands its meaning and respects it, particularly when you are on receiving side.

A ‘NO’ means ‘NO’. This will ensure your dignity as well .
