Hi guys, Welcome to my blog. After thinking for a long time about what to write, I got the idea to write about my home town Tirumala.

Those who are familiar with Tirumala they all know it is situated in the heart of the Seshachalam hills.

Today I want to share a story behind the temple.

Kaliyug is about to start. God must protect the earth. Rishis performed yagna and wanted to offer yagna fal to the ones who deserved it. They chose Sage Brighu and asked him to find the one. Sage Brighu was well known for his anger.

Brighu went to Kailasam but Lord Shiv and maa Parvati are dancing. So, they didn't notice him. Later he went to Satya Lok but both Brahma and Maa Saraswati were busy in meditation and music. At last, he went to Vaikuntam where Lord Vishnu was sleeping and Maa Laxmi was looking after Vishnu. Both didn't observe Brighu's arrival. Outraged Brighu kicked Lord Vishnu.  Lord Vishnu opened his eyes and apologized to the sage.

Maa Laxmi got angry and left the Vaikuntam.  Brighu came to his senses and apologized to the Lord Vishnu, offered yagna fal to God.

Since Maa Laxmi left the house, he doesn't know what to do. So, he also left Vaikuntam. He wandered everywhere and at last, sat under the tree.

Fast forwarding the story, he was later adopted by Vakula Devi who was Yashoda in her past life and gave him name as Srinivasa. One day, while Srinivasa strolling in a park he came across a girl called Padmavathi who was playing with her friends. She was the daughter of King Akasha Raju. Srinivasa and Padmavati's eyes met and they fell in love at first sight.

Srinivasa was unable to sleep at night and he kept thinking about Padmavathi. His mother noticed it, and asked him the reason. He told eveything to his mother. The next day they went to the kingdom in disguise as a future predictors. Padmavathi's mother invited them to the palace.

Srinivas who was in disguise as a women took Padmavathi's hand and told to her that she will get a good husband, for which she felt shy and left.

A few days later, Vakula Devi brought a marriage proposal in front of Akasha Raju, for which he agreed. Srinivasa borrowed money from Kubera for his wedding. The wedding took place in a lavishing manner.

After the wedding, The couple went to Seshachalam to spend their time. Maa Laxmi came to know about this and rushed to the hills. There both Laxmi and Padmavathi started a Verbal war. Srinivasa was stunned and became a statue to remain silent.

Later, Thondaman constructed a temple to Venkateshwara on the hills and he dedicated his life to Lord Srinivasa. This is the story of Tirumala.

Now, it is a pilgrimage center for everyone and one of the richest temples in India. People all over the world are coming to Tirumala for Lord Balaji Darshan.
