Well, however we do not like to talk about Covid1 but cant help it because its all around. Hence little escape might work for while but no long term solution.Best way to cope up with any problem is dealing with it from front. Accept the situation and prepare yourself to face it.
Now like last year we are again trapped in our houses or hometowns due to for good only. The only difference last year it was all new so there were difficulties to accept the change but same time it was a whole different kind of situation. It was new experience, refreshing one, relaxing one, fearful one so we all did all new things. we all fearfully passed that time but with some hopes , by looking at brighter side of situation. but now what is happening is hundred time worst and this lock-down is frustrating, a very depressing one. but we have to survive this one too
last time we did so many creative things. cooking, yoga, dance,webinars !!
so you must be thinking what should i do now, while u are already down with situation that you dont wanna do any thing
so I have some tips for you. This things you must do to survive lockdown and for betterment of your mental health
1.Mandala Art:
This is not only art this is therapy too. It helps you engaging in creative way. everyone likes art and drawing so it makes you happy and when you finish the art your heart fills with satisfaction. There are books available in market and online where pre printed design and calligraphy ideas are given.Try it !!
2. Home Plantation
Plantation is something one should do irrespective of lockdown or not!! but many of us can not find time due to our busy schedule so its time now! Home gardening is very trending habit but if your new to this just start with money plant. you do not need to invest much. just find empty bottles or cracked pot or old tins, fill the water and put one stalk of money plant in water. you can simply ask to friends or neighbor to give you by cutting it from one of the root. if you are good at it you can start growing home vegetables from been. There are so many videos available for same. Greenery and growing plant will definitely give you sense of life and satisfaction.
3. Reading:
Rather reading whole bunch of negative news, fake whats up to dos and not to dos its better reading some good quality books by well known authors. As per your interest and dreams you should choose a book. you can choose self improvement books or novel or spiritual ones also helps. reading a book engages you to different world, it lowers anxiety and also helps to upgrade thought process and increases confidence.
4. Yoga/ Zumba dance
There are always discussion about which technique is better. The better is the one which makes you happy. I wrote two option because there are two kind people. One who finds joy in music,high beats and pumping heart rates and other ones who likes peace, calm and space with self. you can start learning both the thing by tutorials or online classes. Practicing Zumba or yoga will help to keep health good in longer term. And this is the time to cultivate good habits. Zumba and yoga helps to be fit and to lower anxiety, feels heart with joy and peace.
5. Talk to your people
Yes, that's most important. Your people means your loved ones, children, parents, relatives, neighbors, colleagues, old friends, new friends , teammates, housekeepers. These are testing times. Many might be feeling lonely at home, many are anxious, depress and helpless. Talking over phone with people within your circle will help you to feel fresh and certainly will help others. Try to talk positive things, creative ideas, share your learning, avoid depressing talk, sometimes just be listener if some one needs ear. This practice will help you be a better person and also helps you be more socialite in real terms rather than virtual falseness.
