School Days: 'Then' And 'Now'

There are many things that you would remember from your school days. Sometimes something fun, sometimes something sad, sometimes an embarrassing event, and so on. Why? Because the days we have or had spent in our school are too precious to us. Those days can't be brought back no matter how many times one try. Those are or were the days, one would spend under their parents care and yet independent of them. Some of the people may think, how can we be both dependent and independent at the same time? Well, since all the children in school are able to go to school because of their parents love, support and guidance. So in that way, one is dependent on their parents. Again, when we reach the school building or the school campus, we enter a new world, a world that is only known to us and no one else. A world without your parents nagging to you, a whole new dimension to us.

Well, I can't say that this can be the case to all of us. But, as general as possible, this is the only thing that I can say.

I really didn't want to mention this, but unlike us there are people too who really don't want to remember their school days, for various reasons. May it be bullying by teachers, or peers, or some self insecurities. I really don't all the reasons, but I think of these as some of them. Me too. There are certain events in my school life that I really don't want to share or remember either. Not that my school days were bad. But still, there are some things that people don't want to share or remember, no matter what those are. And I agree with them too.

But now the whole scenario of school days has changed dur to the one and only reason of the SARS CoV 2 or simply COVID pandemic. The whole world is under strict rules and restrictions. Some follow the rules as it is, but their are many who don't even care about such things and freely. Now getting back to the topic, the children in these restrictions, are not allowed to go school, and Ae only able to have their education online. According to me, not that it is not good for their health, it is also not good for their social relationships, mental and emotional stability too. The only thing that the children are doing now is to sit in front of their computer desk or laptop or smartphone for hours and hours in the name of the school classes and education. Now, they are not both dependent and independent, but only dependent on their parents. No new world to them.

Just because of the pandemic they can't do freely what they want to do. I truly pity them, that they can't get to experience this new world.
