Hey everyone π,
Hope you are having a wonderful day. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. π
Today's blog is going to be about my school days. The word βschoolβ is enough to make me reminisce of the memories I made in school. It's been 4 years since school ended but the memories are still fresh in my mind.
At first I didn't like to go to school because it meant waking up early in the morning from my deep slumber, taking a bath and getting ready for school. I just wanted to stay at home and sleep. On some days I pretended being sick so I could stay home. Sometimes I felt that school was going to go on forever and I wanted to grow up quickly.
But in 10th grade I actually started to like going to school. Maybe it was because we had a really fun camp at the beginning of the year or maybe it was something else. Sadly, it was the last year and I realized that school was ending soon. Suddenly the morning assemblies were not boring, the lectures felt interesting and waking up early in the morning did not feel like a task. There was a lot to look forward to at school.
I'm an introvert so I had a few friends in school with whom I had a lot of fun. All of my classmates were also cool and I used to hang out with them outside of school too. The field trips and picnics were the best part because I got to see the unseen side of my friends. Maybe I started to like going to school because I got to see my friends everyday.
Once, before the maths class, my class decided to prank the teacher by doing the mannequin challenge which was trending back then. All of us turned into statues when the teacher walked in and he was shocked to see us. He thought that something was seriously wrong with us and went on to ask if we were okay. No one responded. The teacher got so scared that he was about to call our class teacher. Just then we all burst out laughing and told him it was a prank. He started to laugh with us too.
I still remember the last day of school like it was yesterday. Everyone in my class was sad but were not showing it. I had taken my phone to school that day to click pictures with all my classmates. The portion for the year was completed so we did not have a lot to study that day. Everyone was really there to have fun. The teachers were super nice to us and wished us the best of luck for our exams.
I clicked many pictures with my friends and classmates. All of us promised to keep in touch after school. At that time I thought we would but the sad reality is that we didn't. Everyone joined different colleges and changed a lot after school. Nevertheless we enjoyed the day. Our strict class teacher was also really nice to us since it was the last day.
The next day we had our farewell. All the girls looked really pretty in Sarees and the boys looked dapper in suits. Our juniors had organised a beautiful farewell for us. The principal gave us a motivational speech at the end of it and wished us all the best for our board examinations.
The boards were in a month. I studied well and passed with flying colours. All my friends and classmates did too. As junior college began, we lost contact and stopped talking. I guess that's what happens when everyone goes on their separate ways. Regardless, I had a amazing time at school and will cherish the memories for a lifetime.
That's it for today's blog. Hope you liked it and it also reminded you of the good time you had in school. π
