It doesn't matter whether you receive or pick up the call in the bathroom, bedroom, Dining hall, board room. The expert tells us that you must smile before picking up the call and you should have a mirror near by so that you can check/analyse your green or smile. One day i had applied a face pack which is my weekly routine and the very moment my phone ranged i feared to see my face becuase i was horrified to see my face covered by face pack so i dumped that idea. Big winners don't smile before a call. legends put smile after they hear or know who is on the other side first answer the phone u emotionally and professionaly first tell your name and your company name. then the moment you know who is there on the call trick the other person with flood of smile. like Oh sumit how nice to hear from you. Their is a friend of mine who is a business man whenever i call him i don't know which of his assistant would pick up my call and whoever picks my call always give me warm welcome over call. First they act professionaly and the moment i tell my name their assistant become overfriendly with me and tell me that sumit thanks for calling us we will soon put you through to your friend mr alok. I just don't know how happy i feel by their way of greetings. So one day I decided to have a lunch with my rich friend alok and i told him that your assistant are very good communicator then my friend told me that i am going to burst a bubble don't mind but Sumit you are not special we treat everyone who calls in the same friendly manner. First i recovered from the early discussion then i accept that i was a victim of technique not a victim. Then from that day i picked every call with enthusiasm when i got a call from a customer regarding late payments then i told him enthusiastically that i am glad you called me and thank you for reminding us due this complainer got pleasure was bit shocked because he told me later he saw the first time when a creditor was that happy for my call. i did same with all other people who called me.
