My Experience After Receiving Covid-19 Vaccine

I took my first dose of Covishield vaccine yesterday and wanted to share my experience with everyone, especially if anyone is skeptical about it.

When vaccinations first started I too was, like many, very skeptical. It was not unfounded though, the hurry-burry nature of vaccine productions, which obviously was not the case, because we don't know how many days the scientists and researcher slogged. Burning the midnight oil, to help the people build immunity and produce the most effective genetic codes to help fight this global pandemic. With the growing number of vaccination drives and encouragement from Governments and social work agencies all over the world, I too started my research (which was obviously all limited to google) on vaccinations and their importance. I therefore, arrived at the conclusion that being vaccine is a far better option that actually getting the disease.

I took my first dose of Covishield Vaccine yesterday, and the fact I'm blogging about it today gives you enough proof that I have not felt any serious side effects as such. I went to a Govt. run center which provided free of cost vaccines. The center was well managed, with proper social distancing and other protocols being followed. This scene was quite different from the news and rumours about the vaccination centers. Or I was just lucky to have reached at an odd hour or odd day. Whatever, be the situation, we have to applaud our Govt. who is tirelessly aiming to provide and vaccinate such a huge population.

After taking the vaccine, I felt mild pain in my arm around the area where I was injected. Once I reached home, I rested and did not do any physically tiring activity. I watched some videos and read. I took my dinner on time and headed to bed at about 10pm. I must have slept about 30 minutes later!

I had a goodnight sleep but in the morning I felt slight body ache and the area where I was injected seemed a little swollen. I thought it's best to take the paracetamol, which was given to me at the vaccine center. I took my breakfast and took the medicine.

Since then, I have been fine, no fever.

I encourage all to take the vaccine and contribute to stopping this global pandemic. I hope this all ends soon and we all can go out and breathe the fresh air like we used to before the pandemic hit us
