We all have something to do in our spare time, all hobbies are great for your own personal self but how much and which hobbies add to your professional personality. Here are a few of the hobbies that makes your Resume or CV look good and impress the person in front of you.

1. Social Work/ Service - Doing social work is a great hobby to have and add to your resume. It shows your selfless nature and any type of community service or volunteering work is a plus for any individual.
2. Sports and games - A keen interest in sports and games tells people that you are ready to sweat it out. It also reflects your team player nature, hardworking abilities and not giving up attitude because that is what sports teaches us.
3. Art work - Any art work or creative hobby is a sign of your creative mind. It shows you can bring your creative mind to work whenever required. It is often said most tough problems require a creative mind to solve.
4. Travelling - Many of us like to travel and explore, especially the younger people. This is because we want to take the risks and know the unknowns. It reflects our open minded attitudes and readiness to face new and unchartered territories.
5. Reading - A well read person is always considered sound and intelligent. Most millionaires and business tycoons are known to read many books despite their busy schedules. This means the more we read, we learn and thus are able to execute the same in our lives. Reading is perhaps one of the most beneficial hobbies as individuals.
6. Blogging - Writing is also a great hobby to prove your worth as a creator. It also shows we can communicate and present our ideas well. To be able to articulate our thoughts into words is a very good skill which is required in almost any job.

These were some of the most recognized hobbies I could think of, in general. It also depends on the job profile as to which hobby makes your candidature better than others. 

For example, if it's a job for a software engineer your hobby to code and create new apps could be a ideal hobby to leverage your chances against other candidates and other hobbies may not sound so interesting. 

So we can tell that hobbies can vary from job to job! The above mentioned hobbies are only a few fishes of the vast sea!
