Sometimes our human friends, relatives and companions can prove to be unreliable and treacherous.Today we are living in an age of excessive abundance of information, where it becomes difficult at the end to filter out the real knowledge. It is 99% sure that we would be encountering an incidence or story on facebook, whatsapp, insta etc.which had not happened at all. In this sea full of falsified facts and ideas, we are trying to look for that one destination that is true. So what becomes the most reliable and authentic source of awareness? It is here where the role of books becomes extremely crucial.
Books are our real companions , friends and guides . They enrich humanity. They are a storehouse of knowledge . They have educative as well as informative value and importance. Let us live in the company of the books. They will never betray or deceive us .We can look towards them for guidance, learning and entertainment. It unleashes a world of imagination which we can see with our eyes open.Reading is a dream that we hold in our hand. In this time of technological era, where we can access facts from anywhere; books are something that no technology can replace. People like Bill Gates have laid their emphasis on the use of books in order to become successful. Gates has always said that for him reading books is more than a past- time. Bill Gates once said , “ Every book teaches me something new or helps me see things differently.”
Shakespears dream have a universal appeal . Homer, Balmiki, Ved Vyas have given us immortal works. ‘The Ramayana’ and ‘The Mahabharata’ are read by millions of people . Keats poems are a thing of beauty that give joy forever. Tagore's ‘Gitanjali’ transports us to a spiritual world. PremChand's ‘Godan’ unfolds sustic life and its problems.Biographies of great men like Lincoln and Gandhi are an extreme source of inspiration. It is because of the books that we get to know so much about these personalities
Books are our best companions and a best way of escapism to the world of pleasure and extreme delight. As J.K Rowling has rightly said “ I think it's the book that you read when you are young that live with you forever” It is never too late to enter into the world of books.
