Many years ago, there lived a man named Gulliver. He was a doctor by profession. He was a doctor by profession. He made up his mind to go to sea as a ship’s doctor. Soon after, he sailed in a fine ship. After a few days at sea, a great strong wind arose. Gulliver was thrown in to the sea and had to swim for his life.
At last his feet touched the sand, and he saw, he was in a new land. Tired of swimming for a long time, he lay down and fell fast asleep. When he woke up, he found that he could not move. Every part of his body seemed fixed to the ground. Even his hair was tied to the ground. Just then he saw, about hundreds of small men climbing on him. They were only about five inches in height.
“who are you?” cried Gulliver in fear. His voice was very loud for those small men and they ran away in fear. Then the king of the country sent a long cart drawn by two thousand horses. The horses were very small.
Gulliver travelled in that cart and reached the city where the king lived. There he came to know that it was the land of Lilliputs. The king made Gulliver’s stay more comfortable by giving him plenty of food and water to eat and drink. Hundred small carts were called with food for Gulliver. The little women sewed together hundreds of their sheets and blankets for his bed.
The little tailor made new clothes for Gulliver. One day, the king made a request to Gulliver. He said that the enemy king was coming to attack them. So, the king wanted Gulliver to save Lilliputs form enemies.
“Don’t be afraid. I will fight for you,” said Gulliver to the king. Everybody was happy to hear this. Gulliver made a strong and thick rope and got the biggest iron hook he could find and set off for enemies.
Gulliver reached the sea shore and found enemy’s ship tied there. He untied all the ships. He took the ropes off the ships and tied them together. Then he tied them to his rope. He walked back into the sea pulling all enemy’s ships after him.
The enemies shot their arrows at him but they put no effect on Gulliver. He had a thick coat on his body and glasses over his eyes. The people of Lilliput were very glad when they saw Gulliver coming with all big ships of the enemy. The enemy was defeated.
One day, Gulliver saw, on the shore, an empty boat lying on the beach. It was like a boat from the ship that Gulliver had sailed in the boat. The boat was a little broken but Gulliver mended it. Then he bid goodbye to all the little people of Lilliput and sailed safely back to his own land.
