Hi, Here is another blog in same genre that is reflex action. This blog is about Hiccup reflex action happens to our body.
Hiccup Mechanism: Involuntary contraction of a diaphragm( a muscle that separates chest from abdomen and plays an important role in breathing). Sudden movement of a diaphragm that we cannot control, forcing us to suddenly suck air into your throat where it hits voice box that makes vocal cords suddenly close, creates a βhicβ sound.
Number of contraction leads to that many hiccups.
Normal breathing happens by pulling down diaphragm when you inhale air and let that air into your lungs and then diaphragm muscle relaxes when you exhale, so that the air flows back from lungs and exits through nose or mouth. But the hiccups happens when that diaphragm hurts. That creates a sudden movement of a muscle it is nothing but hiccups.
Reasons:
So there is a say on that we should not talk while eating. And that is what our parents used to scold every time to not to talk or watch tv because the delay in consuming food also allows to enter air into stomach.
Hiccups happens for short time and it stops automatically there is no medicines for that but sometimes it happens for long time then we feel pain in abdomen so in order to avoid long hiccups try to hold breath for a while which leads to no breathing process for some time then it will be in relax mode and it functions normally after leaving a hold breath so that it will stops. I personally tried this trick to avoid long serial hiccups many times do try this if you get that kind of hiccups. It will work at max but I cannot give an assure for this because hiccup is a reflex action the name itself says that it's an involuntary and spasm action.
There is no such huge benefit of hiccup that happens only when the diaphragm hurts. If we found it lot many times in a day and continues for a month then there may be some medical problems behind this. At this condition just go for medical checkup. Mainly lot of hiccups happens when we losing our weight and some mental stress.
This is all about hiccups, thanks for reading keep follow my blogs for more such informative content.
