All of us have looked at someone and thought " wish we had their life ", or rather " wish we had been like them" as though they have attained the purpose of life through their actions.

But we never imagine what each person goes through in their respective lives to have reached that point. All that we do is live in our imaginative world as in the past or future. Rather than anticipating, we need to live in the present and hence the name present is given because it truly is a gift. Living the life given to you and being happy with it, is what everyone should work upon rather than being envious of others. Working on improving our lives through necessary actions would be helpful rather than spending the time daydreaming stuff. Having a dream and working towards it is fine unless and until you find time to be in present and not dwell too much into the future because thinking about the future without knowing what's in the store will slowly start eating you and you become someone who would forget to live in the present moment. 

What are the core concepts of mindfulness?

The five core concepts include 

(a) present-focused awareness, 

(b) an accepting or open attitude, 

(c) a nonjudging approach, 

(d) compassion for self and others, and 

(e) the energy of mindfulness.

Steps to be mindful about yourself:

1. Have a plan to keep your day organized and be meticulous about it.

2. Not procrastinating too much on the tasks ahead of the day.

3. Have only the list of things you can achieve on that particular day. Do not overwhelm yourself with tasks that you cannot complete in that day and regret about it

4. Have short terms goals relating to your long-term goals. This will help you to stay motivated into achieving your goal.

5. Enjoy small victories and be proud of yourself for achieving them.

6. Don't get affected by someone's success. Each of us has different points where we are and will be successful. Being patient about your life is the key to achieving your goal and being successful.

7. Start meditating and listening to soulful music to keep yourself away from stress.

Make every day a little less ordinary and shine through the tough phase like a diamond.
