Over the years, we have been determined to be strong in any situation that befalls us and not to let anyone protect us. This is the case of the modern generation that was passed on by the preceding generation. But the current picture is different. The stress level in the current generation is too high to remain silent. Stress is nothing more than the emotions and feelings bottled up in the face of a situation we faced and the response we did not let out. To avoid this, we need to face the situation upfront and not back down. To do this we need to know how to let out one's emotions. This helps to let out our thoughts and be less weighted individualistic (in the aspect of mind). This change is the need of the hour. Nowadays people have started looking after their mental health. This has caught up during the lockdown. Looking after one's mental health is as important as looking after one's physical health. Going to therapy and checking on your mental health is as important as going to a physician and doing a health checkup. This helps one to have a clear mind and have better communication of their issues.

One of the ways one can let out their emotions in a positive way is by engaging in our hobbies and exploring our interests in different ways.

  • Read an inspirational book of your choice,
  • watch a funny YouTube video,
  • Play with your pet(if you have one),
  • List the places you would like to travel (current and future),
  • Drink a glass of water.
  • Make a gratitude list,
  • Venting is not the same as asking for help, it's taking an opportunity to share your feelings out loud.
  • Learn a new skill,
  • Explore your writing skills,
  • Get active
  • Go for a walk to relax from your stress,
  • Focus on your senses,
  • Find a guided meditation on YouTube
  • Read a book,
  • Listen to music or a podcast, or an audiobook of your choice ( try listening to mild music )
  • Explore different skills like Cooking, Gardening, Baking.
  • Unplug for both social media and tech gadgets.
  • Detox yourself from negative thoughts and emotions.

If you have anyone you trust closely and he/she is non-judgemental, reach out to them and share your queries with them and be clear in what is your exact problem and be ready to listen to their important tips.
