Hi friends 🙂, welcome back to my new blog. Today I would like to share all about how to calm your mind ?
Calmness is the best solution for every problems. In our life we face many obstacles , for some problem we have to raise our voice out ,so that we can get out from our obstacles. If we see in a another way for some other problem calmness is the only solution.
Once we calmed our mind our mind will be free out of all impurities. So comeon friends let we start with a small story where we come to know about how to calm our mind ……….
Once upon a time Buddha with his followers was travelling from one town to another town. While travelling they walked by a lake . After sometime they all stayed there to take some rest. At that time one of his disciples asked him that how can we calm our mind when we have disturbing thoughts.
Buddha was sitting under a tree and said to him I'm feeling thirsty , can you bring some water on that lake. Disciples walked back to lake and noticed that some people were washing clothes.
So he walked to some distance to get clean water but as he was going to collect clean water a bulla cart passed over there so the water became muddy. Disciples waited there for water but one or more bulls were going there and water was still muddy
so he thought to himself that he can't give such muddy water as it is not fit to drink. So he decided to go back without water. Disciple came back with empty hand without water and told Buddha about it.
After one hour Buddha asked his disciples to go back to the lake and bring some water. Disciple went back to lake and this time he got some clean water. He filled pot with water and brought it back to buddha and said last time I went there it was full of mud in water but now water on the surface of the lake was clean. How it could happen ?
Buddha replied that when you went last time mud was unsettled and it was mixed with water and water became unfit to drink. But when you went after an hour mud settled down on its own and you got clean water that was fit for drinking.
You asked me question in the morning about how to calm our mind when we have disturbing thoughts , our mind is also like that lake when it is full of thoughts it is like muddy water . You have to give it some time to settle down on its own, you don't have to put effort to come it and with time your mind will be calm effortlessly.
If we see in our life people always complain that they are able to concentrate while meditation that is because they keep on trying hard to stop thoughts going on in their mind. During meditation the more effort they put in the more thoughtful their mind becomes ,
but they forget that you don't have to put effort to calm your mind , you just need to give it some time and with time your mind will be calm effortlessly.
