Is Wood Apple the same as Beal?
They are not the same fruit. However, the terms "wood apple" and "beal" are frequently used interchangeably.

While the beal refers to Aegle marmelos Correa, the wood apple typically refers to Limonia acidissima L, Feronia elephantum Correa, and Schinus limonia L.
