The book is written by V.E.Schwab and published on october 6,2020.

Have you ever wondered or dreamed ,one day a god comes and grant you a wish that you live your  life  to infinty in freedom ,what will you do? Would you believe it is true? Or would you hear any catch to it?,we would defintely say yes right??

But what about instead of a god God ,a dard lord say the Devil comes to gives the same wish but needs to bare your soul to him , now ,would you say Yes??

This story is all about those desicions taken by a 23 year old girl (named adeline laure who is gonna get married to a person she doesn't choose for and wanted freedom from this town)during her desperate times

Never pray to god that answers after dark.

This story  started in 17 th century,year 1714 in a small french town,where addie is living with her parents all her life,thus in moment of desperation addie make a bragain with the devil to live as long she like but cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets(they would their time spend with addie) and her name   “ ADELINE LAURE” is long forgotten by everyone she knows as she deperately needed her freedom.

When you deal with the darkness, everything has a price

In this story ,devil takes up the form addie drawn as her dream boy named "Luc".every year on the same day they sealed their deal, luc meets addie to let go of her live and bare her soul to him,but addie determined to not let luc break her.

After 300 years of living a ghost life unable to even speak her own name,the only constant companion in her life who know everything about her is Luc,thus after so many years meeting a boy named henry ,who impossibly remembers her is remarkably divine for her but what she doesn't know is “WHY HIM?” ,"WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT HIM?".addie and henry soon understand there predictment and tries to outrun luc.

This story unravel in multiple timelines as Addie moves through history, learning the rules of her curse and the whims of her captor.they are also been many painting and markings( her seven freckles) of some parts of addie are left through the eyes of artists for centuries
