Dreams are stories and images that our mind will create while we sleep. It is a succession of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in mind during certain stages of sleep.
They can be entertaining, fun, romantic, disturbing, frightening and sometimes bizaree.
Dreams mainly occur in the Rapid-Eye Movement (REM) stage of sleep- when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake.
FACTS OF DREAMS:
1.Around 95 percent of dreams are forgotten by the time a person gets out of bed.
2.It is thought that each dream lasts between 5 to 20 minutes.
3.We may not remember dreaming, but everyone is thought to dream between 3 and 6 times per night.
4.Dreaming can help you learn and develop long-term memories.
5.Blind people dream more with other sensory components compared with sighted people.
6.Do you know that when we dream of falling down, this dream makes us awake and do not continues to dream because after death our brain does not know what happens.
7.According to research it is said that if we had a dream of ghost definitely a ghost is watching us sleep.
8.If we could not able to sleep it means that we are awake in someone's dream.
NIGHTMARES:
Nightmares are distressing dreams that cause the dreamer to feel a number of disturbing emotions. Nightmares are dreams that bring out strong feelings of terror, fear, distress or anxiety. They feel more vivid or intense than a bad dream, and nightmares are often differentiated from dreams when they cause the sleeper to actually wake up and experience intense feelings upon walking.
LUCID DREAMS:
Lucid dreams is a type of dream where the dreamer becomes aware that they are dreaming. During a lucid dream, the dreamer may gain some amount of control over the dream characters, narrative and environment; however, this is not actually necessary for a dream to be described as lucid.
INTERPRETATION:
Dream interpretation is the process of assigning meaning to dreams. Although associated with some forms of psychotherapy, there is no reliable evidence that understanding or interpreting dreams has a positive impact on one's mental health.
It causes when we think too much about something or too much worried about certain things that could disturb our dream content
Not everyone dream in color must of them dream in black and white.
DREAM CATCHERS:
The dreamcatcher is believed to collect all the bad dreams around us during night. Now it has became a craft ideas and children enjoy doing it. These dream catchers are hung in the bed room and more over as a decorating object like wind chime
