Jibaro is the latest addition by Alberto Mielgo to an anthology named love death+robot. Alberto the oscar-winning director tries to explore the meaning of love through his mesmerizing short animated film named Jibaro.

love death robot is an animated  anthology on NetFlix,a dark subgenre that deals with as the name goes, love death and robot.There are three vol. of this anthology dystopian sc fi as we can say it. Jibaro is the 8th anination of vol iii.

Jibaro the knight and his platoon go by the woods, coming by a lonely queen longing for a companion named siren, all dressed in gold & jewelry screaming and dancing at the surface of a heart-shaped lake. she expresses her longing through her dance, but her screaming is deadly none can escape it, none can survive it except the deaf knight Jibaro. not knowing the fact she is flabbergasted to see her screaming has no effect on Jibaro and considers him as her ‘the one.

but thing turns disastrous way when jibaro found her lying beside him, when she tries to make love to him she found that they are not meant for each other. their lovemaking wounded him badly, and her self-centered desire, resists her from not going any further, and jibaro while making love, attacks her steals all the gold and jewelry from her and tries to run away.

But something happens in between, siren's blood heals his deafness and the rest is quite predictable. seeing herself without gold and jewelry she feels humiliated, and her screams take her revenge and she stays lonely.

we humans always have this misconception between love and relationship. we mix both and considered both as same. for most of us, an ideal relationship means a relationship through which we can fulfill our own self-centered desires and things turn into toxicity.

the story also tells about the humans' greed, jibaro and siren have their own greed to be fulfilled, siren tries to fulfill the longing of lust and desire, and jibaro upon her gold jewelry.

and one last thing but not least, there is no barrier between weakness and strength. deafness with considered to be a weakness but turned out as a strength for jibaro here, and despite wealth she never found someone, you are wealthy doesn't mean no one can harm you and you are completely secure. we all have our own struggles be aware, and don't be ignorant.
