Bonne journée!! This time I just tried to say ‘have a good day’ in French..Well, the weekend is over and a brand new week had started. We people are too busy focusing on our future, which is very much appreciated. But, really how much are we appreciating ourselves for the things we have done so far to get to the place where we are right now in life?? Didn’t we just forget to savor our success, our happy movements?? Let’s try to be kind to ourselves and more self-compassionate.
WHAT IS SELF-COMPASSION?
📍Self-compassion is how we treat ourselves not only during rough times, but also during our WIN times. I have known people who would ghost themselves for losing over a game, and have not seen much people celebrating their own success (Rather seen their friends or family celebrating instead). If developed, self-compassion would play a great role here. It is said that, to create self-compassionate mindset, we must in-turn develop three basic attitudes which are,
1. Self-Kindness: Being nice to yourself, irrespective of environment influences.
2. Mindfulness: Keeping a balanced perspective, over every components of life.
3. Feeling a sense of Common Humanity: Accepting and remembering the fact that, everybody faces rough times once in a while.
Self-compassion during WIN times gives us time to understand our strengths and also helps to build our confidence. For instance, image yourselves being self- kind to have some alone time with yourself while thinking on your small success at work..You would understand that, a specific thought and action of yours had led you to the success. Be mindful to appreciate your thought and action for a moment. Just self-pat yourselves and believe the creativeness of your brain. Always, be the first person to recognize and appreciate your ideas and thoughts.
Like I said before, Self-compassion helps not only to savor the hard times but also the good, sweet moments of life. Try to enjoy your life slowly, by paying attention to all the positive energies rather than focusing on the mere future..
SAVOUR YOUR LIFE, PAT YOUR BACK EVEN FOR THE SMALLEST IMPROVEMENT YOU HAD IN YOUR DAY, BE YOUR OWN CHEERLEADER..NEVER FAIL TO BELIEVE YOURSELF, EVEN FOR A MICRO SECOND.
