May be life is never about one phase to another, or just the next big thing that we keep striving for. Life is about the things in between and the memories which still make your heart ache, even when you have supposedly moved on. How you changed paths, even when you were not done carrying your previous pile of rubbish. Yet you are here, standing with weak knees trying to seep it all in, trying to indulge in it and trying your best to not sink, not sink in the extreme, not sink in this mayhem. You were on crossroads and in a blink, you took the road ahead, but what if you just wanted to halt? Halting is not the solution when time is against us, but why does time have to be against us, why can't we take our own sweet time?
May be this imaginary race that we run, where we are so scared to be left behind is just in our head. May be they are no competitors and your only enemy is you. We are just so caught up in being the best versions of ourselves that we lose us along the way and if we don't really recognise who we are, what is the point anyway?
You see, the thing is no matter how much progress you make or no matter how far you have travelled, it won't make a difference because what is the point of progress if you have no one to celebrate it with?
We often trade things in our lives that we think are the most indispensable but honestly when the worst possible things happened with you, you would just one day not want to be your own warrior. May be, that day you won't have anyone to hold you when you fall apart.
That is one thing that I have realised along the way - it is people who break you and people who make you also. It is people who make your heart ache, and people who also heel you. No matter how many phases you jump or skip or pass on, people always stay with you either as a support or as a memory.
So let's be real this one time. What is your view of being real? Do let me know below in comment section.
