Hero Vida V1 electric scooter

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Vida brand's first electric scooter V1 in two variants namely Plus and Pro. The Vida V1 Plus model is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh and the Vida V1 Pro variant is priced at Rs. 1.59 lakhs.

The Hero Vida V1 Plus gets a 3.44kWh battery and offers a range of 143km. Meanwhile the V1 Pro gets a bigger 3.94kWh battery. Both variants get the same electric motor which generates 6kW of power and the V1 electric scooter can travel at a top speed of 80kph. The V1 Pro goes from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.2 seconds, slightly faster than the V1 Plus which manages 3.4 seconds.

Hero claims that both the scooters can climb steep inclines (up to 20 degrees) with the Billion Rider even when the battery is at 60 percent charge. When connected to a fast charger, both variants can be fast-charged in one minute to travel 1.2 km. On a home charger, the V1 Plus takes 5 hours and 15 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent, while the V1 Pro takes 5 hours and 55 minutes.

The Vida V1 scooter's biggest advantage over its competitors is that it has replaceable batteries, which means getting the unit fully charged takes just a few minutes. These batteries are developed in-house by Hero.

The Vida V1 e-scooters come with electronic features like a 7.0-inch TFT touchscreen dash, keyless functions, 3 riding modes and a proprietary app that lets you connect your phone to it.
