Hey! I am delivering here my deepest thoughts I have written long time ago and posting it today as feeling like that exact day.
In real life, making friends is easy but keeping them around is the tough part. Only those people will stick by your side who truly loves you and care for you without any extra efforts and rest are just like clouds which will fade away with time. Some will leave happy memories and some will leave memories with pain.
You over care about people your entire life. You have always tried to be a good friend to them. Selfishness is something you have never known, even you have done more than they asked. But unfortunately, your caring nature is what has led you to get hurt many a times. You overthink, even about insignificant stuffs and end up getting hurt. You remain awake at nights thinking of people who don't care about your feelings anymore, thinking about what they have done to you what you have never expected from them.
At times, you lock yourself in your room, overthinking and even crying. Your insecurities weigh you down. You think about how easier and simpler life would be, if you distanced youself from those people and from the thoughts that makes you cry. Sadly, people like you suffer more in imagination than in reality.
To get over from all such stuff, at once, you have tried to pretend being heartless. But that felt very weird to you. Because you know that is not the kind of person you are. How much you try to be heartless, it can never going to happen, it is not you! You have always been kinder, and such people suffer the most. It's hard to be reflected by your behaviour but deep down you are hurt, in pain of being disappointed by people you loved selflessly.
The thing is - caring is okay but over caring is not. It is okay to be heartless and rigid at times, if you feel like you are giving more than what you are receiving. Start prioritising yourself. There are more to life than chasing down people who don't value you. Sometimes, you have to pretend to be someone you are not in order to save your heart from being torn apart. Follow your heart but also use your mind when it comes to emotions. Love yourself and make youself better everyday!
