U > ^ v
Wondering what that is? It is the formula for having a happy and content life. Hey wait! I can literally see how most of you see the word formula and think of something scientific can stop reading. Well I wouldn't lie, this is science. But isn't the entire universe we live in, Science?
This isn't the science with experiments, but it is the science of living. Trust me, towards the end of this piece you won't hate me for making you love yourself, will you?
Okay, so now let's consider a test case or a scenario in layman terms. You have 10 things on your plate. You are very hungry. Out of this, 6 things are good (we are trying to be optimistic) and 4 are bad. What did you focus on? The good or the bad?
If you're focused on the good then you're wrong. If you focus on the bed then you are wrong too. Feel cheated?
Well, I would too! You forget a third thing. Funniest part is that this thing is the realist of all. Its not an object, it's not a concept, not a feeling, it's a living, breathing human. Ofcourse, I am talking about YOU!
Your entire focus went on what's on your plat,e and you forget to focus on yourself. What you really need, what you actually feel. You were so absorbed in what was going on in that plate that you forget yourself. You have the power to create and feel whatever you wish to. The things happening around you should be only a part of your life, not your entire life.
I'll say this again, U>^ v
Well, ‘^’ denotes your ups, the good, the positives.
‘v’ denotes your downs, the bad, the negatives.
Now, I think you get it. ‘You are greater than you are ups and downs’. Have you ever thought about this? How you are more important? Have you ever choose and yourself?
Let's go back to the example. The plate in the wider perspective denotes life. In life,we often find ourselves in the labyrinth of goods and bads of the things happening. We lose ourself. If you choose yourself, if you consider yourself bigger and more important than the things happening around you or with you, you'll be happier. You will be more content.
Isn't it the formula for a happy and content life? Then repeat after me, ‘you are greater than your ups and downs’.
